Statement from Native Americans for Sovereignty and Preservation
It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of Charlie Kirk, a man whose no-nonsense leadership and deep sense of patriotism shaped a generation of conservative thought. He reminded us that common sense still has a place in our public square and that what unites us is greater than what divides us: we are all Americans, living in the greatest country in the world.
Charlie’s unwavering commitment to get-out-the-vote initiatives gave countless conservative voices—especially in rural and tribal communities—the courage to speak and stand. On our reservations and in our towns, where conservative values can sometimes be a minority within a minority, his example showed us that faith, family, and freedom are worth defending.
As Native conservatives, we know the cost of holding fast to our beliefs. We have faced criticism, even from our own relatives, and endured threats for simply standing for small government, strong families, and the values that made America great. Charlie reminded us that we are not alone, and that together, as Americans, we have a country to save.
On behalf of NASP, we lift our prayers for Charlie Kirk’s family during this time of profound loss. His leadership was a beacon of clarity, his Get Out the Vote initiatives—especially here in Arizona and across the nation—a testament to his belief in the power of every conservative voice. Charlie never wavered in his defense of American values, and his common-sense vision reminded us all why we fight. Though we grieve the loss of a hero, his legacy is not a memory to mourn, but a charge to answer. The call to action he sounded still echoes—and we will rise to meet it.
